About Us

In 2014,
Happy Tails Haven became a registered 501(c)(3) charity to provide a permanent home for the elderly and extensive special needs horses. We also have available a select few adoptable horses.We are located on the 20-acre CoDreLea Farm near the Black Hills. We promote responsible equine ownership and continue community efforts to enrich the animal-human friendship bond. We provide loving care, proper medical treatment, individual nutritional needs and daily handling. Our goal is to prepare the horses for permanent placement.

Turning a break-down into a break-through

Happy Tails Haven has also contracted with mental health professionals working with the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. EAGALA use horses to inspire people to overcome emotional hurdles associated with past trauma. This global organization is officially recognized in over 40 countries.
